By creating an account or using Kaivest ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Kaivest is a personal finance tracking and planning tool. It helps you organize expenses, income, budgets, savings goals, investments, and credit cards in one place. The Service also includes an AI-powered assistant ("Kai") that can read, write, and analyze your financial data based on your instructions.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Kaivest. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide during registration is accurate and complete.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password and any multi-factor authentication (MFA) methods. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. Kaivest is not liable for losses arising from unauthorized use of your account where you have failed to safeguard your credentials.
Access to Kaivest may be limited to invited users during the beta period. Beta features are provided "as is" and may be modified, suspended, or removed at any time without notice. Invite codes are personal and non-transferable unless expressly permitted.
You retain ownership of all financial data, profile information, and other content you enter into Kaivest ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant Kaivest a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter; Kaivest does not independently verify it.
Kai provides general financial guidance and educational information. Kai is not a certified financial advisor, tax professional, accountant, or legal advisor. Its responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors or inaccuracies.

Kaivest, including its name, logo, design, code, and AI assistant, is the intellectual property of Kaivest and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.
We strive to keep Kaivest available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.
Kaivest does not guarantee any financial outcomes. Budgets, savings projections, spending insights, and investment summaries are tools to help you plan — they are not promises of results. Past performance data displayed in the Service does not predict future results.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kaivest and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Kaivest in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty Canadian dollars (CAD $50), whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kaivest from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain your data for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements, after which it will be deleted.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
